Our Mission

The Purple Cow Bookstore opened its doors in April of 2008 by the Ventura Family. Inspired by their love of reading and education they strive to create a unique bookstore that is a gathering place for children, parents, and teachers. Their mission is to be an advocate for children's literacy not only in Tooele County but through out the beautiful state of Utah.

The store is filled with a great selection of books, from board books for the younger children to books for young adults. Each book has been carefully selected and additional books are constantly added to our inventory. Our very talented staff is here to help you, as you choose those books that your children will cherish for years to come. We are one of the few independent children's bookstores nationwide and are members of the Association of Booksellers for Children and the American Booksellers Association.
